For the second straight year, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) has awarded RSW a Gold Quill Award of Excellence. The prestigious award recognizes the best in global business.
This year, the holiday campaign for the North Texas Food bank won for the “Communication Management / Non-profit Campaign” category.
The North Texas Food Bank asked RSW to help them fight hunger by addressing a critical need during the peak holiday season. The challenge was to create a campaign that would raise awareness and increase donations of money, food, and time.
RSW created an emotional story-based awareness campaign to communicate hunger’s impact on North Texas children, families, and seniors, including headlines such as “Fighting dragons at 5. Fighting hunger at 8. Hungry Today.”
The strategically placed campaign media, including billboards, print ads, grocery cart ads, online banners, network TV, radio, and more, led to a 19 percent increase in financial donations, as well as a 16 percent jump in volunteer hours. The number of online donations and social media visitors also spiked.
The submission was evaluated by expert judges from the marketing communications field. The winning entry beat out hundreds of submissions from across the globe.
Winners will be honored in June at the IABC World Conference in Toronto.
